AOS delivered its first Airbag Test System. The system comes with all equipment such as lenses, cameras, illumination, cables, AOS controller and mounting provisions. Last but not least an AOS engineer was on-site for system installation and training. Before installation a real in-house airbag test was performed to simulate proper operation. Beside the high-speed video recording and synchronized strobe lighting, the control box offers some other essential feature:
- Supports up to 8 Airbags / stages
- Resistance measurement of the connected primer
- Resistance measurement of the connected primer including wire
- Potential free current and voltage measurement for each ignition channel
- Trigger output for camera control
- DAQ with eight channels at 100khz sampling
- Security concept to prevent ignition in case security relevant signals fail
- Light control unit to power and control up to 10 150W Strobe-LED lights, and a High-speed Camera hub to control 4 to 12 AOS high-speed cameras
An important feature is that the A-LED W150 lights are tested for operation at+85°C in an airbag chamber.
The complete system is modular and can be configured and equipped according to the demands of the test facility.
